One-on-One Daily Living Support
in the Illawarra
Practical, unhurried help with everyday tasks and routines at home, always at a pace that suits you.

Everyday life is made of small things: getting up and dressed, a decent breakfast, a tidy kitchen, the washing done, the fridge stocked. When those things become hard, everything else gets harder too. Daily living support is practical, one-on-one help with exactly those tasks, delivered in your own home by the same person each time.
The aim is never to take over. It is to keep you doing as much as you can for yourself, with a steady hand alongside for the parts that need it. Some days that means doing things together; other days it means quietly getting a job done so you have the energy for something you enjoy.
How daily living support works
Before anything starts, we talk through your routines, preferences and what a good day looks like for you. That conversation becomes a simple plan: which days, what tasks, and how you like things done. Then I turn up when I say I will, and we work through it together at your pace.
Because you always deal with me directly, there is no re-explaining your routine to a new face every few weeks. Small preferences (how you take your tea, which chair you prefer, which chemist you use) are remembered, not re-learned.
Personal care, with dignity
Where personal care is part of the support, it is handled with respect, privacy and patience. You set the boundaries and the pace. Nothing is rushed, and nothing happens without your say.
Building structure into the week
For many people the most valuable part of daily living support is the rhythm it brings. A regular visit becomes an anchor in the week: a reason to be up and ready, a time when the house gets sorted, a chance to plan meals and appointments so they do not pile up. Over time, that structure builds confidence and independence rather than dependence.
Every visit can include
- Help with personal care and getting ready for the day
- Meal planning, preparation and cooking together
- Light household tasks: washing, tidying, changing beds
- Grocery shopping and putting things away
- Medication reminders and appointment prompts
- Building and keeping to a weekly routine
How it works
Getting started is simple.
Build your plan
A short questionnaire covers your needs, goals, routines and preferences. Fill it in privately or together, whichever feels more comfortable.
Align expectations
We have a relaxed conversation to clarify the details, answer your questions, and make sure we're both clear on what good support looks like for you.
Ongoing support
Support starts, one-on-one, with clear communication and the flexibility to adjust as your needs change over time.
Questions
About this support.
Do you do the tasks, or help me do them?
Whichever helps most. Where you can do something with a bit of support, we do it together, because that is what keeps skills and independence. Where a task is beyond you on the day, I get it done.
Can visits be the same day and time each week?
Yes. Regular, predictable visits are the whole point. We agree on days and times up front and only change them when your needs change.
Is this funded under the NDIS?
Daily living support is commonly funded under Core Supports (Assistance with Daily Life). It is also available privately.
